I am an autistic developer who makes apps on my own through Tanooki Studios. I build small, private things for the iPhone and Mac because I keep running into problems that deserve a careful, respectful tool and somehow never got one.

This one started with an argument. Not mine, but the kind you have heard a hundred times: two people, each certain the Bible is on their side, each quoting half a verse from memory. It struck me that the text itself was the one thing nobody in the room had open. So I built the thing I wished someone had handed them.

Chapter And Verse has no position. It will make the strongest case for your opinion and the strongest case against it with the same effort, and it will tell you which way the weight of the passages falls. Every verse on the screen is the Bible's own words from a public-domain translation, never a model's paraphrase. When the model names a passage that does not exist, and they do, the app removes it and tells you so. When scripture simply does not speak to a question, that is the answer you get, because it is the true one.

I want to be plain about what it is not. It is not a theologian, and it will not end a debate that serious people have carried on for centuries. It is a research assistant that shows its work and refuses to hide the ball. What you do with the text is yours.

It is free, there is no account, and nothing leaves your phone unless you decide to use your own key with a cloud model. I do not see your questions and I do not want to. That is not a marketing line; it is how the thing is built, and you can read exactly how on the sources page.
